Mimako Art – Handcrafted jewellery born in Sodankylä, inspired by the magic of Lapland
My name is Minna Kohvakka, founder and jewellery designer of Mimako Art. I create all my jewellery by hand at my own workbench in Sodankylä. Polymer clay and surgical steel allow me to craft lightweight, high-quality, and durable pieces – and, above all, jewellery with a truly individual design.
The colours and shapes of my jewellery are inspired by the nature of Lapland: the movement of the Northern Lights, the tones of the changing seasons, and real gold found in the goldfields of Tankavaara, which is reflected in many of my collections.
The selection includes colour analysis jewellery, seasonal collections, Mimako Mini children’s jewellery, and the Tankavaara Collection, featuring genuine Tankavaara gold leaf.
